What are UV DTF transfers for mugs?
Ceramic and porcelain coffee mugs get decorated with a peel-and-stick UV-cured film that wraps the barrel without heat, a press, or any machine.
Unlike heat-applied textile transfers, UV-DTF is made for hard, non-porous surfaces, so it bonds directly to glossy glazed ceramic and porcelain and stands up to daily handling. You design the artwork, we print and cure it onto film, and you simply peel, position, and burnish it onto the mug. Mugs bring two details cups do not: a handle that needs a little clearance, and a shorter, often barrel-shaped body, so we size your wrap to the mug's height and curve. What is the difference between UV-DTF wraps for mugs and for cups or tumblers?
The film and the peel-and-stick application are identical. The difference is the cut: mugs have a handle that needs clearance and a shorter, often barrel-shaped body, so we size the wrap to the mug’s height and curve. For glass and cold cups see our UV DTF for cups page.
Can a wrapped mug go in the dishwasher?
The blanks themselves are dishwasher-safe per their manufacturers, but once decorated, both supplier spec sheets recommend hand washing. Hand washing is the safest way to keep any UV wrap looking new.
Which mugs work best for UV DTF?

How do I apply a UV-DTF mug wrap?
Peel the printed film off its backing, position it on the clean dry mug, smooth it down starting from the edge opposite the handle, then remove the top transfer layer. No heat press, heat gun, or machine is needed.
Are the mug blanks microwave-safe?
Both tested blanks are rated microwave-safe by their manufacturers. The wrap itself is applied to the outside surface of the mug.
