DTF Transfers for Hoodies
Full-color transfers you press onto any hoodie, cotton or poly-blend fleece. Printed in Miami with no minimums and rush available.
Hoodie print zones: what goes where
A hoodie prints in zones around the pocket and hood, so plan placement first.

Exact measurements for every zone live in the placement guide.
Custom hoodie ideas: three prints we would run
Not specs, opinions. What we would press if the hoodies were ours.

The center-chest statement
Keep the art above the pouch pocket, about 10 inches wide, and it sits flat and bold. The pocket seam is the one line you plan around.

The chest-and-sleeve combo
A small left-chest mark plus a sleeve hit reads premium streetwear. Two small prints, one order, lots of personality.

The color drop
One design across forest and heather blanks. Press them from a single gang sheet and pay by the area.

Why DTF for hoodies?
| DTF transfers | HTV vinyl | Screen printing | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full color and photos | Unlimited colors in one transfer | Each color cut and layered by hand | Every color adds a screen and a fee |
| One-offs and small runs | No minimums, order a single transfer | Fine for one piece, slow for twenty | Setup costs favor large runs |
| Feel on the garment | Soft and thin, moves with the fabric | Can feel thick when layered | Soft, though heavy coverage builds up |
| Dark garments | White underbase built into every print | Needs an extra white base layer | Needs an underbase pass |
Fair is fair: screen printing wins on 100+ identical pieces in 1 or 2 colors, and vinyl is fine for a single name or number. For everything else, ready-to-press DTF is faster, softer, and has no minimums.

Full-color DTF transfers press onto cotton and poly-blend fleece hoodies, with a white underbase that stays bright on dark and heather colors.
A hoodie prints in zones: about 4 inches wide at the left chest, 10 to 12 inches at the center chest above the pouch pocket, up to 14 inches across the back, and 3 to 3.5 inches down a sleeve. Thick fleece likes a 3 to 5 second pre-press and a heat-press pillow inside, so the pocket seam does not leave an uneven bond. On 50/50 and heather blends we lower the temperature to keep poly dye from migrating into the print.
Lighter layers? See DTF on sweatshirts, or the everyday t-shirts guide.

Can I press DTF transfers onto any hoodie?
Cotton and cotton/poly fleece both take DTF. Blanks with a 100% cotton face, like the Bella 3719, Independent IND4000, and Port & Co. PC850H, press cleanest, and 50/50 blends like the Gildan 18500 bond well at a lower temperature.
How do I press on thick fleece?
Pre-press 3 to 5 seconds to flatten the nap and dry the fabric, then press with firm, even pressure and finish with a second press. Exact settings for your transfer come printed with every order.
How do I handle the pouch pocket and seams?
Press above the pocket seam rather than across it, and slip a heat-press pillow inside the hoodie so the seam does not create an uneven bond. Keep the platen clear of drawcords and ribbed cuffs.
Will the print crack or peel on a hoodie?
Not when pressed correctly: the transfer stays flexible through 50+ washes. Wash cold inside out, tumble dry low, and never iron directly over the print.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum and no setup fees. Order one transfer for one hoodie or a full gang sheet for a whole drop, paying by the printed area.
How fast can I get hoodie transfers?
Standard turnaround is 24 business hours, and orders placed before 12 PM ET with print-ready art print the same day in Miami.
